Why feel it to heal it doesn’t always work.

If you’re living in 2023, have an Instagram account and have ever wandered into the land of insta-healing I am sure you have heard the phrase "feel it to heal it"?

It's a popular idea that suggests that the way to heal from emotional pain is to simply confront and fully experience your emotions. However, as we all know, what works for one doesn't necessarily work for all.

If you're like me, or many others who have been through traumatic experiences, plunging directly into a sea of emotions can be too much. It can stir up stress responses in our bodies, making us feel as though we've been thrust back into the throes of the very moments we're trying to heal from.

That's why I believe it's essential to foster a foundation of safety and calm within ourselves before we start delving into our emotional landscapes. Regulating our nervous systems and managing our stress levels becomes the primary step - and that's where the gentle guidance of a Trauma-informed Resilience Coach can really come into play.

Moreover, for those of you who find solace and strength in your walk with Jesus, I believe anchoring ourselves in Jesus's love is the very best beginning of nurturing resilience. In my experience, being rooted in His love provides a foundation to begin the beautiful work of cultivating rest and repair in our hearts, minds and bodies.

As someone trained in this particular approach, I aim to cultivate an environment that encourages your comfort and safety, allowing you to navigate your story at your own pace. I'm here to guide you as you discover your own resilience, gently building up rhythms of rest that help you thrive, and soothe your nervous system. Each step of the journey, however small, is part of the bigger picture towards a life ready to be well-lived.

I know it's not easy; it requires time, patience, and above all, the courage to seek support. We can work together to envision a future that brims with joy, freedom, and a sense of wholeness.

If you feel it's the right time to begin, I invite you to try out a complimentary 30-minute Resonance Session.
