5 Ways to Keep Boundaries and Balance in Your Business - Today

boundaries bring balance

Ever feel like it’s all just going too fast and you can’t keep up?

Lean into these steps and find your happy place in your biz!

1.     Learn to enjoy the good habits

Good habits make a huge difference to leading a balanced life in the workplace.

There is a common pattern of complaining about the good habits, even when we faithfully commit to them.

An even greater shift, is when you think highly of your good habits, and learn to really lean into enjoying them!

Tip: Pick 1 Good Habit and Reframe Your Attitude Towards It.

Example: Exercising - I love to exercise, and walk – it’s such a treat for me.

2.     Start small and build

Do not despise small beginnings.

If it’s a task, commit wholeheartedly no matter how menial it may be!

If it’s a small victory, celebrate every inch of it!

This pattern forms a strong and balanced foundation for a business!

3.     Build a business not a job

One of the main reasons people start their own business is to be their own boss!

But, as soon as they begin, they build themselves straight back into an inflexible 9-5 job!

You have the reins to decide which direction your business goes!

You get to put down boundaries about time off, and weekends.

You’re the one who is allowed to create boundaries and craft a streamlined system to make sure you run a business.

4.     Contract well

Whether it’s a supplier, client, employee - I cannot stress this enough!

Contract well!

Be explicit in your expectations, boundaries, and exchange terms!

And pen it down in some ink – so many businesses skip this step and end up regretting it!

Start strong, and build sustainable relationships that are mutually beneficial!

5.     No is not always a negative word (receiving or giving)

Don’t be afraid of a no, and don’t let it slow you down!

Every ‘no’ is feedback, information and affirms or corrects your direction.

It’s not personal.

When you shift to this mentality, it also becomes easier for you to say no, when something doesn’t suit your business’ goals.
